Ministries at PBC

There are a variety of avenues where members of Pittsboro Baptist Church can share their faith and show the love of Jesus to others.

Sister-in-Service

.....Through love you should serve one another.

Galatians 5:13, is the guiding Bible verse for Sister-in-Service or SIS, PBC's women's ministry. SIS's mission is to grow together in Christ through study, fellowship, and service to the Lord, one another and the community. Meetings are held on the first Friday of even-numbered months with reports on mission projects, devotions, and "girl time". For more information, contact Rachel Cain.

Lunch Break Missions Group

The focus for the ladies' Lunch Break Missions is missions. There is always a project, whether it is to collect items for Baptist Children's Homes, assist church members in need, or provide monetary support to other church ministries and missions. The group meets at 11:30am on the third Monday of every month. For more information contact Carolyn Johnson at 919.542.3308 or cell 919.548.0439.

Men of 1:10

And we pray this, that you may live a life worthy of the Lord, and may please Him in every way, bearing fruit in every good work, and growing in the knowledge of God.  Colossians 1:10

Open to men of all ages, the goal of the Men of 1:10 is to serve others as well as to disciple its members. They have been involved in a variety of projects including a handyman ministry by helping others with home repairs, out of town trips to assist with disaster clean-up and repair, as well as maintaining church property. The group meets the second Friday in odd-numbered months. For more information contact Matt Cashion at matt@cashionrods.com.

Three L's

The Three L's, Laugh, and Live Longer, gives senior aults, men and women, the opportunity to do just that. Meeting the first Tuesday of each month, the group may enjoy fellowship over a delicious meal or go on a day excursion for musical entertainment, shopping, or other special events. Several times each year, the group extends their fun by traveling overnight to such places as Myrtle Beach or Gatlinburg. The Three L's is open to anyone in the community age 55+. For more information contact Marilyn Tyndall at 919.542.4014.

Prayer Quilt Ministry

Providing comfort is the mission of the Pittsboro Baptist Prayer Quilt Ministry. The group creates beautiful lap quilts which are given to individuals experiencing some sort of crisis or trauma. Throughout the piecing and construction of the quilt, prayers are said for the recipient and continue afterwards. The first Wednesday of each month, 10:00am is the official meeting, but the group gathers every Wednesday to work on the quilts. Sewing skills are not required to join.
