Celebrate Advent!

Is your family preparing to spend time together in the celebration of the first coming of Jesus to this earth? The social climate of the world might be giving us the perfect setting to make this year’s Advent celebration our most meaningful one, ever! We are somewhat limited to the safety of our homes, so let’s make the most of it.

Last year I shared with the church some ways to make Christmas more meaningful through family celebrations during the four weeks of Advent. Along with this email, I’m sending you the materials we talked about. Many of the Pittsboro Baptist Church family began new traditions last year that I hope will continue this Christmas.

If you’re not familiar with Advent celebrations, take time to review that attached materials and look for ways to celebrate the birth of our Savior in new ways this Christmas.

I’m praying for you and your family during the Advent season. Stay safe and rejoice! Have a very Merry Christmas!

This Sunday, December 6th, the Pittsboro Baptist Church family will gather for worship in our church building at 10:30 am.

The return to worship services inside the building has worked smoothly in the past two weeks. However, we have experienced technical difficulties each week. We learned that our internet router was failing. It has been replaced and we hope that resolves the problem. Thank you for your prayers and patience!

This is what you can expect:

The service will be held in the sanctuary and streamed live to the Fellowship Hall. Please choose the location you are most comfortable with. Please be aware that the pew cushions have been removed from the sanctuary, but you are welcome to bring your own single-seat cushion(s).

If you prefer to stay in your vehicle, parking spaces will be reserved for you in the main parking lot. You can hear the service live on your radio at 94.5 FM.

Another option is to watch the livestream from your home on the church’s YouTube channel at 10:30 am.

Upon entering the building, you will be asked to wear masks, have temperature checks and reply to health screening questions.

Handouts will be provided upon entry and there will be a place you can give your offerings.

The sermon note sheet and song sheets are attached so you can participate in the service from your home, if you are not able to join us at the church building.

Your church leaders appreciate your cooperation and your concern for the health of everyone gathering for worship.
