Blessed By Judgement House
Tuesday, 03 November 2009 10:15

Well my intention was to sit down and write a little bit about the impact of Judgement House. However, I really do not know where to start. I was absolutely surprised by God in how He worked each evening of the drama and that it even had a huge impact on Sunday morning worship.

A total of 1110 people came to Judgement House. 49 people committed their life to Christ while here. We are currently following up with each person to help them grow in the Lord and get connected with a church near them. I have heard of one person who did not accept Christ as their savior here. However, she went home and began asking more questions resulting in her brother leading her to the Lord. There is no way for us to know how many seeds like that were planted Thursday - Sunday night. We also saw 102 re-dedications. This is just as exciting as the new converts to me. Followers who finally get serious say yes to doing ministry and missions. They work to strengthen their marriages. They raise their kids to love the Lord. They become evangelists at work. They begin to see God working in their lives. Again, we do not really know  how many more decided to get serious about their relationship with Jesus.

Another impact was the joy of having the Body of Christ work together to build the kingdom. Christian bonds within PBC as well as with brothers and sisters in other area churches were strengthened. We have witnessed what God can do in this community when we come together. I believe that most involved have a greater burden for evangelism. It has certainly reminded us to keep our eyes on the heart of the gospel instead of the less important issues in church life that tend to compete for our attention.

I wish I could name every person involved in Judgement House here, but for the sake of space and fear of leaving someone out, I say thank you to all involved and all who prayed.

I know that many of you have stories and testimonies from Judgement House. I want to here all of them. So, please click on the comments bar and share how God blessed you through Judgement House.

I wanted to extend a great thanks to everyone who not only participated in Judgement House, but to those who came to view it. Those of you who passed through have truly touched my heart. Seeing the re-dedications and the first time professions of faith to Christ have not only been a blessing to me, it has brought me closer to Christ. I would also like to reiterate on Tripps lesson yesterday. When you have a church family with the love and the faith like we do at Pittsboro Baptist Church, there is not a doubt in my mind that we cannot reach out to everyone in this community and bring them the word of Christ.

God uses us in so many ways. He does not always pick us for the things we know we can slam dunk. I am constantly amazed at the way God takes the people in this small church and uses them to do BIG things. I am also impressed that Tripp posted a blog entry... perhaps another miracle at PBC!!??

Judgement House really blessed me. This was my first experience of counseling at an event and I was really apprehensive. God gives what we need when we follow Him. Thanks so very much to Jon for latching on to this opportunity and then following through to make it all happen. Thanks, too, to all the staff and volunteers! What a great way for us all to grow in trusting God and in trusting each other.
