What is PBC 902?
Pittsboro Baptist Church is a lovely old church located just a block or two off of the main street in beautiful downtown Pittsboro. The church has undergone much change over the years. The most recent expansion took place back in 1967 and was expected to support about 35 years of growth.
Pittsboro Baptist Church in 1900

Several years ago the church decided it was not cost effective to expand the church at the current site, and with the growth of the area we needed to plan for future expansion so land was located on highway 902 only a few miles from downtown. In 2008, the church body decided it was time to begin to raising capital to build on this new property and in August the planning for our first building campaign started. The campaign lasted just 6 weeks and the church members supported the commitment by reaching our first commitment goal of over $400,000 to be committed over a 3 year period.
As of today, even though the economy has taken a dive, God has provided the support to allow our membership to meet the commitments from last year. God is blessing this effort and we pray to ensure we are following His guidance as we plan our next phase.
